Still Hurt After Traditional PT? You're Not Alone.

Most clinics overbook, underdeliver, and send you home with a generic exercise sheet. If you've been through that cycle before, you already know it doesn't work — and you deserve something better.

You're Treated Like a Number

Your Pain Keeps Coming Back

You're Forced to Stop Training

Double-booked clinics hand you off to an aide halfway through your session. You spend more time waiting than getting actual care — and your progress shows it.

Generic protocols treat symptoms, not causes. Without identifying the root problem — movement faults, strength gaps, or tissue dysfunction — the same injury finds you again.

Being told to "just rest" isn't a recovery plan. Athletes and active adults need a therapist who understands how to keep you moving safely while you heal.

Why Greenville Athletes Choose Peak 3 Sports PT

Peak 3 Sports Physical Therapy was built specifically for athletes and active adults who want real results — not just temporary relief. Every session is 100% one-on-one with Josh Yokel, Doctor of Physical Therapy, who combines advanced manual therapy, dry needling, and sport-specific strength work to address the root cause of your injury. We test and re-test every visit so progress is measured, not assumed. And because we're out-of-network by choice, we answer to you — not an insurance clock.

  • 1-on-1 care with a Doctor of PT at every session — never a tech or aide

  • No referral needed: South Carolina direct access lets you start treatment in 30 days without a physician order

  • HSA/FSA accepted, free 15-minute discovery call, and discounted visit packages available

Why Greenville Athletes Choose Peak 3 Sports PT

Getting Back to Your Sport Is a 3-Step Process

Step 1: Book a Free Discovery Call

Step 2: Get Your Personalized Plan

Step 3: Return Stronger Than Before

Spend 15 minutes with Josh — no cost, no commitment. Tell us about your injury, your goals, and what you've already tried. We'll tell you exactly how we can help and what to expect from treatment.

Your first session begins with a thorough evaluation to identify the true root cause of your pain or limitation. You'll leave with a clear, individualized treatment plan — no guesswork, no generic protocols.

Every session builds on the last with hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, and progressive strength work. We test and re-test to confirm you're making real progress — and we don't stop until you're back doing what you love.

100+ Five-Star Reviews From Greenville Athletes

Rated 5.0 stars on Google — here's what our patients say.

"His multiple/various approaches (manipulation, dry needling, cupping, etc!) and attentiveness are outstanding!!! He has SO much knowledge and skill and is so helpful explaining the why behind everything! … I did not realize the true extent of how 'not optimal' my previous therapy was until I started PT with Josh. NIGHT and DAY difference from Day ONE!! Stop debating…..GO SEE JOSH……you'll be glad you did!"

— Deana P.

"I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and had sprained my MCL, and the PT program he created was challenging in the best way possible. It helped me get back to training within a couple of months feeling even stronger than before my injury. One thing I really appreciated was how well Josh explained everything — not just what we were doing, but why."

— Angelina P.

"He tailored the recovery to my goals, physical activity, and golf. Not only did working with him help me recover, but I came out stronger and more capable to achieve more. He is the best sports physical therapist that I have worked with and will always be my go to for a tune up."

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first session at Peak 3 Sports PT in Greenville.

Do I need a doctor's referral to start PT?

No. South Carolina's direct access law allows you to begin sports physical therapy at Peak 3 without a physician referral for up to 30 days of treatment. You can call or book online and start as soon as your schedule allows.

Do you accept insurance?

Peak 3 Sports Physical Therapy is a self-pay, out-of-network clinic. This is an intentional choice — it allows us to spend 100% of session time with you rather than navigating insurance restrictions that limit visit frequency and treatment options. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and discounted visit packages are available. Many patients find they need fewer total visits than they would at a traditional clinic, which offsets the out-of-pocket cost.

What makes Peak 3 different from a regular PT clinic?

Every session is one-on-one with Josh Yokel, a Doctor of Physical Therapy — from your first visit to your last. No aides, no double-booking, no hand-offs. Josh combines manual therapy, dry needling, spinal manipulation, and progressive strength training in a facility with a full weight room and 25 yards of turf, so your rehab actually mirrors the demands of your sport.

Can I keep training while I'm in physical therapy?

In most cases, yes. One of Peak 3's core principles is keeping athletes moving safely during recovery. Josh designs programs that work around your training, not against it — and uses sport-specific loading from day one to maintain your fitness while you heal.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Peak 3 offers virtual rehab with real-time 1-on-1 video consultations and customized monthly programming delivered by Josh directly. Virtual sessions include direct messaging for form checks and are ideal for athletes who travel, live outside the Greenville Upstate area, or prefer to train at their own gym.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first session starts with a thorough movement evaluation to identify the root cause of your pain or limitation. You'll leave with a clear, personalized treatment plan and — in most cases — hands-on treatment begins the same day. Not sure if Peak 3 is right for you? Start with a free 15-minute discovery call, no commitment required.
